Techiadd is always interested in sharp, honest, well-reported writing about consumer technology. If you know a corner of the tech world well and can write about it clearly and fairly, we would like to hear from you. This page explains what we are looking for and how to apply to contribute.
What we publish
We commission news, reviews, explainers and how-to guides across our beats: AI, Gadgets, Mobile, Software & Apps, Reviews, How-To and Science & Future Tech. The best contributions tell readers something genuinely useful — what to buy, how to do something, or what a development actually means — and back it up with testing, evidence and clear sourcing.
What we look for in a contributor
- Expertise or first-hand experience with the subject you want to cover.
- Clear, jargon-free writing that respects the reader’s time.
- Original work — not previously published, not spun from someone else’s article, and not produced by passing a prompt to an AI.
- A commitment to our standards, set out in our Editorial Guidelines and Ethics Policy.
How to apply
Email editorial@techiadd.com with the subject line “Contributor: [your beat]”. Tell us briefly who you are and why you are credible on your subject, include one or two specific story ideas (not a generic topic — an actual article you would write), and link to two or three samples of your published work if you have them. A tight, specific application tells us far more than a long CV.
Our standards for contributors
Everything published under the Techiadd name is edited to the same standard, whoever wrote it. We fact-check contributions, we may ask for your sources, and we edit for clarity and accuracy. Contributors disclose any financial interest or relationship relevant to what they are writing about, and we will not run a piece where an undisclosed conflict exists.
The line we hold
To be completely clear: we do not accept paid contributions, “sponsored posts” disguised as articles, or pieces that exist to promote a product in exchange for payment or a link. Editorial coverage on Techiadd cannot be bought — that rule applies to contributors exactly as it applies to staff. If your goal is commercial promotion, the honest route is our Advertise page; if you have a story you want us to cover rather than write yourself, see Pitch a Story.
What you can expect from us
We read every serious application. If your idea is a fit, an editor will follow up to discuss scope, angle and terms. If it is not right for us, we will try to let you know rather than leave you waiting.
