Techiadd is reader-first and independent. The way we keep that promise is simple: editorial coverage is never for sale, and anything that isn’t independent editorial is labeled so you always know what you’re reading. This page sets out exactly how we handle sponsorship, affiliate links and any other commercial arrangement.
Editorial independence comes first
No advertiser, sponsor or commercial partner can buy a review, a score, a recommendation or a place in our coverage. Our editors decide what we cover and what we conclude, based on reporting and hands-on testing — not on who is paying. Advertisers receive no advance look at editorial content and no right to approve, change or kill a story. The standards behind that judgment are public in our editorial guidelines and ethics policy.
Sponsored content is always labeled
From time to time we may publish sponsored content — material a third party has paid to place. When we do, it is clearly and prominently labeled as “Sponsored,” “Paid partnership” or “Presented by [name],” at the top of the item and in a way no reader could miss. It is visually distinct from independent editorial, it carries no Techiadd review score, and it is never presented as the opinion of our newsroom. We don’t accept sponsored content that is misleading, that promotes a product we believe to be unsafe, or that we wouldn’t be comfortable showing our own readers.
Affiliate links
Some articles contain affiliate links: if you buy through one, Techiadd may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. These commissions help fund our independent, paywall-free journalism. Crucially, affiliate relationships never influence what we recommend. We choose products on the merits, test them ourselves, and will happily tell you not to buy something — affiliate link or not. Where a piece contains affiliate links we disclose it within that piece.
Review samples and gifts
We sometimes borrow or are loaned hardware for testing. Review units are returned or, where they cannot be, handled per our ethics policy; they are never a condition of coverage and never buy a better verdict. Our reviewers do not accept payment, travel or gifts in exchange for favorable treatment.
No pay-for-coverage, ever
We do not sell links in editorial articles, we do not accept payment to add, alter or remove coverage, and we decline “guest posts” that exist to place a backlink. Pitches that offer money for editorial placement are rejected.
