Techiadd respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This page explains how to notify us if you believe content on techiadd.it.com infringes your copyright, and how we handle such notices, in line with the principles of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”).
Reporting alleged infringement
If you are a copyright owner, or authorised to act on behalf of one, and you believe material on our Site infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated contact at editorial@techiadd.com with the subject line “DMCA Notice”.
What your notice must include
To be effective, your notice should include the following:
- An identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- An identification of the material on our Site that you claim is infringing, with enough detail (such as the URL) for us to locate it.
- Your contact information — name, address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
How we respond
When we receive a valid notice, we will review it and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material that is claimed to be infringing, and we will make a reasonable effort to notify the person who posted it. We may also take action against repeat infringers where applicable.
Counter-notification
If you believe your material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to editorial@techiadd.com. It should identify the material that was removed and where it appeared, include a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, provide your contact information, and include your physical or electronic signature. We may restore the material in due course unless the original complainant pursues the matter further.
Fair use and good faith
Please remember that copyright law permits the quotation and use of others’ work in certain circumstances, including criticism, comment, news reporting and review. Submitting a false or bad-faith notice may carry legal consequences. If you are unsure whether material is genuinely infringing, you may wish to seek legal advice before sending a notice.
